Called the line of beauty.

This is an alternate term for a baseboard. Its purpose is to cover the joint between the wall and the floor. Sometimes there are cracks (where the floor is not even) that can be disguised by the skirt board. This term (as a single word – skirtboard) can be used as an alternate term for a stair stringer.

A mythical winged monster.  It is half woman, half lion of Egyptian origin.

Involves pouring slab concrete for driveways, walkways, patios, etc., and then making impressions for both patterns and textures onto the concrete before it is fully dry. There are many different surfaces such as cobblestones, brick, pavers, wood, seashells, and more that can be produced. Also, pigment is usually added to stamped concrete to further enhance the look of these patterns.

Grandfather clockA broken pediment that has an outline formed by a pair of S-curves at the ends of the pediment and rising to a pair of scrolls on either side of the center.  It often has a finial between the scrolls.
